Emmett Williams - A Cellar Song for Five Voices CD 27259
"The cellar Song for Five Voices was written in 1958 during the fever-pitch days of Concrete Poetry, three years before the birth of Flori Reifenberg, the french composer, whose idea it was to transform my quintet into a vocal solo. Flori realised his adaption musicale little more than a year before his death. This solo version, using the sound of my own voice to generate the 120 permutations of the verbal element of the text, was composed at the electronic music studio of the Technical University of Berlin and in Flori's cosy home studio." somewhere / bluebirds are flying / high in the sky / in the cellar / even blackbirds are extinct.
